Industrial Hub

Through its identity, values and community projects, the LAU Industrial Hub promotes inclusive and sustainable industrialization.

Community Engagement

The very being of the LAU Industrial Hub (LAUIH) is centered around the development of sustainable industries. LAUIH extends its support to Lebanese companies looking to make their innovative ideas come true. The services provided by the LAUIH foster sustainable growth in Lebanese industries. By providing clients with a reliable infrastructure, physical space and devoted workforce, LAUIH empowers Lebanese companies to sustainably grow, produce and succeed. With access to skilled teams of LAU alumni, students, faculty, and staff ready to support Lebanese industries, LAUIH involves the community as a whole. Through this Hub, clients are also connected to major growth opportunities in the US.

The support of LAUIH is not limited to helping industries prosper, it also promotes innovations that support our community. The “Towards the End of Period Poverty” project, funded by MEPI-TLP, exemplifies the commitment of the Industrial Hub to uplifting the community. Lead by a multidisciplinary student team in collaboration with the Industrial Hub, the initiative resulted in the development of a machine that produces affordable sanitary pads, directly addressing a critical public health and economic issue. This initiative highlights LAU’s role in fostering inclusive solutions that empower marginalized communities, particularly women and girls.

A partnership signed between Georges N. Frem Foundation (GNFF) and the university’s executing arm, the LAU Industrial Hub (LAUIH), established a multi-year framework centered on digital transformation initiatives, applied learning, and capacity building. The collaboration builds on the foundation’s extensive field experience and LAU’s role in translating academic expertise into tangible societal impact through student-led innovation.
