Chief Sustainability Officer
Dr. Nadim Farajalla is the Chief Sustainability Officer at the Lebanese American University (LAU), a position he assumed in March 2024. In this role, he leads the development and implementation of LAU’s sustainability strategy, fostering a culture of sustainability across all departments to ensure the university’s long-term environmental and social impact.
Lead Sustainability Coordinator
With 17 years of experience in sustainability research, climate change, and environmental policy, Manale Abou Dagher is a seasoned expert in environmental management and higher education. As Lead Sustainability Coordinator, she drives initiatives that integrate sustainable practices, engage the university community, and advance research.
Lead Projects Coordinator
With over 13 years of experience in environmental management, sustainable development, and humanitarian livelihood programming, Ramy Sakr is an accomplished expert in advancing impactful initiatives on climate change, biodiversity conservation, forestry, agroecology, and sustainability. His expertise extends to designing and managing multi-sectoral development programs that support marginalized communities and address socio-economic and livelihood challenges.
Visibility Specialist
An LAU alumna, Georgette Issa (BA '25) works with the office to advance campus-wide awareness and engagement with sustainability. Her familiarity with the university’s culture and student community supports her mission to promote a more sustainable future.
