Conscientious Education
Through Youth Leadership Simulation Programs, OLE aims to foster a new generation of global leaders who are committed to creating a more just, inclusive, and equitable world. By inspiring participants to be responsible and fair leaders in simulated settings, OLE fosters a new generation of engaged global citizens ready to lead long term change. These programs tackle a range of diplomatic, socio-economic, political matters. Currently, the programs offered are the Global Classroom International Model United Nations (GCI MUN), the Global Classroom LAU Model United Nations (GC LAU MUN), the LAU Model Arab League (LAU MAL), the LAU Model European Union (LAU MEU) and the LAU Model Good Governance (LAU MGG).
By participating in these programs, middle and high school students gain firsthand exposure to international diplomacy, engage in structured training, and enhance both their technical and practical abilities. Through this immersive and dynamic learning experience, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex global challenges. In addition to fostering academic and professional growth, these programs also create opportunities for outstanding students through merit-based scholarships.
Entirely led, coordinated, and organized by LAU students, these simulation programs also provide university students with invaluable educational experiences. By taking on leadership roles, managing training sessions, and overseeing program logistics, they gain hands-on exposure to teaching, mentorship, and organizational leadership. This dual-impact approach ensures that both school and university students benefit from a transformative learning process.
Community Engagement
The Leadership and Outreach Programs at OLE aim to empower students through hands-on learning, professional development, and civic engagement. These initiatives foster innovation, cross-cultural dialogue, and leadership skills, preparing students to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
In 2018, OLE launched Lebanon’s first consultancy case competition. The LAU Case Competition (LAU CC) challenges undergraduate students to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to real-world business challenges. The competition enhances critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, preparing future leaders to drive sustainable innovation. LAU CC plays a crucial role in preparing the next generation of business leaders and change-makers, contributing to the development of resilient infrastructure and sustainable industrialization in Lebanon.
As part of the Leadership and Outreach Programs and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, DIALOGUE connects Lebanese and American high school students on the principles of good governance, social justice, inclusiveness, leadership, and civic engagement. Through meaningful debates, the program promotes mutual respect and peaceful dialogue among participants, while also empowering the youth to advocate for stronger, more just institutions. Most importantly, students develop cross-cultural communication skills, leadership qualities, and a sense of global citizenship.
